OUR STORY

Hey, friend, I'm Erin, the proud owner of Treats Soapworks, and I couldn't be more excited to share my story with you. So grab a cup of tea, get cozy, and let's have a chat.
This is a story of resilience, perseverance, creativity and a real life.
Yes, there is a happy ending.
In 2020 I found myself in the middle of a personal storm. I was going through a difficult divorce and thanks to covid I found myself unemployed. Then my dog Max died in March 2020, I was devastated. Not enough strife, my other dog Hero died a year later.

The universe was screaming at me to make some big changes. So, I listened.
I was tired of working at jobs where I did not feel like my energy and time were doing something to improve my life or the lives of the people around me. That's where the treats part comes in. Born out of necessity of covid and the need to do something fun and support myself, Treats Soapworks was born.
In 2016 I started making my own facial products. My daughter was struggling with teenage acne, and was so distraught. Everything we tried worked for a week or two and then her complexion worsened, and so did her self esteem. The products were so full of crazy ingredients, and when I looked them up I could not believe what was in them.
I figured we had tried everything else, so I researched online, and came up with a couple simple natural formulations and we gave them a whirl. They worked. Her face cleared up, and her skin was not ruined and damaged by harsh chemicals. My daughters self esteem was back too.
From 2016 to 2020 I kept making products for myself and my daughter. Then covid happened, and the entire world found itself struggling to get the necessities they needed, fighting off depression, and restless from quarantine.

I was out of work, quarantined, and bored. I was online and looking something up, and came across Bramble Berry/Soap Queen. After several articles and videos, it was on for me! I was so inspired by everything I saw! I ordered a few supplies, made some soaps and lotions, and boy, I was hooked!
I realized that people needed support and care more than ever, and they all needed to treat themselves more kindly. I embarked on a mission to make a positive difference in their lives, give people something to smile about, and take a break from their worries.
I studied everything I could get my hands on, I really love to dig into and get answers to a problem, so this was right up my alley. I

Picture this: I'm living my dream life by the beautiful beaches of San Diego, surrounded by the soothing sounds of crashing waves and the warm embrace of the sun. Growing up, I was always drawn to the ocean. I spent countless hours swimming, surfing, and feeling that incredible connection to the water. It's where my heart finds its home.
Now, let's talk about my newfound passion—making soap. You see, it all began when my amazing daughter, Savannah, was struggling to find a product that would clear her acne without causing further damage to her precious skin. As a concerned and determined mom, I couldn't stand by and watch her struggle. That's when I embarked on a journey of research, exploration, and creativity.

I discovered the beautiful world of artisan crafts and fell head over heels for the art of soap-making. It's like magic in my hands, transforming simple ingredients into luxurious treats for the body and soul. And let me tell you, my friend, nothing brings me greater joy than creating products that are not only a delight to use but also a joy to receive and open. There's something incredibly special about the anticipation and excitement of unwrapping a beautifully crafted soap bar or opening a jar of luscious body lotion.
But here's the thing—I care deeply about more than just making great products. I'm on a mission to create a positive impact on the world around us. I believe in crafting sustainable, clean products that not only benefit our skin but also protect our environment. It's about leaving a cleaner and healthier world for future generations.
That's why I'm passionate about using natural ingredients sourced from reputable suppliers who share our values. I want you to feel confident about what you're putting on your skin. You deserve to know that the products you use are made with love and care, using ingredients you can pronounce. No harmful chemicals or questionable additives—just pure goodness.
Promoting small business owners, both in my local community and across the USA, is also close to my heart. I believe in supporting the artisans and entrepreneurs who pour their passion and creativity into their craft. By doing so, we foster a sense of community, uplift one another, and make a real difference in the world.
When I'm not busy creating these little treats, you can find me embracing the beachy vibe that San Diego offers. I love listening to reggae tunes that transport me to a state of pure bliss. Oh, and did I mention I brew my own beer? There's something magical about the alchemy of creating a delicious, refreshing brew. It's a passion project that brings people together, just like my soap creations.
Growing up, I had the privilege of skiing and swimming in the majestic Pacific Ocean. It's shaped who I am and instilled in me a deep appreciation for nature's wonders. Volunteering at Surfrider for years allowed me to give back to the environment that has given me so much joy. And my time as a flight attendant? Well, it nurtured my love for travel, experiencing different cultures, and embracing new adventures.
So, my dear friend, that's a glimpse into my world. From a concerned mother seeking a solution for her daughter to the proud owner of Treats Soapworks, my journey has been a labor of love. I'm here to spread happiness, contentment, and the joy of treating ourselves to products that are good for our skin and our planet. Let's embark on this beautiful journey together and make the world a cleaner, happier place—one soap bar at a time.
